FIRE BARN GALLERY

WINTERFEST DRAWING SHOW

Opens Thursday, Jan. 23rd, 6-9pm
Gallery talk at 7pm

The Fire Barn Gallery is kicking off Grand Haven Winterfest 2014! It will feature students from its Winter Drawing Class. The 10-week course was taught by gallery co-founder Tyler Loftis, a New York City artist that is originally from this area.

The premise of the class is that drawing is an inherently human thing. We all draw, whether on paper or in our minds - imagining or explaining something visually is something that we are all much more familiar with than we would expect. The show features work by people from a wide range of experience: never-drawn-before to career artists.

"I have been very impressed by the level and commitment of all the people in the class. All the drawings have been great, I hope more people come out for it, it's a great way to work on that visual muscle we all have" - Tyler Loftis.

Join us Thursday January 23rd, 6-9pm for complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres and a discussion at 7pm.

Special thanks to Winterfest 2014 and Leelanau Cellars for sponsoring this show.
